Yield curve uninverted today

That's an ominous sign that I've been warning about. Also known as the bull steepener. Typically what happens  is the unemployment rate continues to spike which is what steepens and normalizes the yield curve. For over 2 years it was cheaper to borrow long than it was to borrow short. Tomorrow will be a critical moment to determine if this trend continues.

At the risk of sounding overly repetitive, not too many things have acted nor reacted as it normally has. This sentiment was echoed by an economist I was listening to the other day when he suggested normalcy has been absent in economic theory and the markets for some time now.
