Axia NetMedia manages projects with Project Insight

2013-06-11 06:19 ET - News Release

AXIA NETMEDIA DEPLOYS PROJECT INSIGHT PROJECT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE TO SAVE TIME, IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY

Project Insight has deployed its Web-based project management software -- Project Insight Enterprise On Premise Edition -- at Axia NetMedia Corp.

Previously, Axia's Project Management Office (PMO) relied on Microsoft Project desktop, Excel and Word to manage projects and project-related documents. There was also a separate in-house tool to perform any tracking, filing, costing, and creating customized reports. Consequently, there was no way to view all project schedules from one place, and it was difficult to locate various documents related to the various projects.

The company needed a more standardized process and a simpler way to initiate similar projects. After analyzing various software providers, the PMO determined Project Insight's cloud-based software was the best application for managing large projects and for allowing team members to access, view and update projects and tasks from any browser, anywhere, at any time.

Before, project managers were repeatedly rebuilding similar projects and could not reuse intellectual capital. Using Project Insight, they have created a centralized archive where project documents, data and plans can be easily searched and reused. "This allows new staff or junior project managers to see what we've previously done," the PMO director notes, "eliminating the need to reinvent the wheel."

What truly set Project Insight apart from other solutions is its ability to easily create custom fields, forms and reports. With just a couple of clicks, team members now run reports with information pertinent to them that include custom fields created to fit Axia's business process on a task level.
