Be sure to always have a GTC sell order at a much higher price to prevent the brokerage firm you deal with from using your shares for shorting purposes.

Yup, I agree, I do this with every company share I hold. I don't day trade. I have a sell order on BB at $100 till Mar 31 2021. Don't think it will ever get there but I don't want anyone using my few shares. I have buy orders on BB as low as $8 if it ever gets there as well. GLTA!
