F1 Autonomous Racing

Resurrecting a topic from couple years ago but if I remember correctly it was more about the car being electric with a driver.  Figure might interest someone.

Don't think I'd watch it but someone might. If you read the article it sounds like the Professor figures his group will surpass in knowledge any software enterprise currently working on ev.  I suppose that would include BB. Checked the professor out and found he was a VW electronics engineer earlier this century.

The fact that it's only a two car race right now plus prof mentions they don't need all the safeguards domestic automobiles would require might make it an easier endeavour, idk.  Maybe it's a good thing these cars don't have drivers. I wonder if the cars make pit stops?
