i do not think bbd will ever do a reverse split it does not bring any good it is a bad move and i hope bbd will not do it

TL;DR: A reverse split may be beneficial under some circumstances. It is just as inaccurate to say a reverse split is always harmful as it is to say a forward split is always beneficial. I am sure no one wants a forward split for BBD right now, either. Whether a reverse split is beneficial or harmful depends on the reason it is being done and the circumstances surrounding the split. Jim, i totally disagree market makers = the sharks= the shorters will never go away if you do reverse split now while still there are some doubts and bring share price to lt us say  cdn$ 10.00 a dropof 5 - %10 could mean up to $1.00 , so it is aclly more profitable for shorters and worst for us (long) if you keep improving the business, Sh. Price will rise on it's own, and shorters ...more

I am always amazed to see that some people keep wishing for a reverse split. Either they are new at this game and have not experienced the effect of a reverse split on the sp of a stock after a very short time or they are smart and are shorters hoping the reverse split happens so that they can happily continue shorting the stock for a longer time. balm, i totally agree ***** and yes as you said "one day we might have a share split instead of a reverse split."  and i like to add, one day not too far away i hope, bbd will start paying divident again and watch the sh price flying

Some bad luck and bad timing put the company in a bad position. For a while it was not certain that it would survive. They have to do their turnaround alone; they can't rely on the govts to help them except by paying high interest loans. It is one of the few company in Canada that manufactures quality high tech products in a nation that has to beg India to have vaccines.  It would be a ...more

Of course you do. The stock of a company with strong fundamentals and a small float is significantly more difficult to manipulate than a company on shaky ground with a 2.5B float. Jim
