 Got to get rid of that Valerie Plante...anything else IMO is better. Fix the roads rather than add bike lanes that are seldom in use in most areas and with the winters.. What a joke !! maybe bike riders shpuld pay for their part of the roads.

I have to agree with you on the bike paths running around  in many  busy down town  areas by the Mayor of Montreal. Have anyone see something like that in New York city or Los Angeles.  Those paths surely disrupt the traffic and dangerous for everyone. What has Plante done for Montreal during her administration, please name sny of them worthy of mentioning. It is time to change

Plante has killed the downtown and has slowed traffic in Montreal to a crawl ... trucks and delivery drivers are having a hard time getting around and parking has disappeared to an alarming rate .. we fought the city to get back some parking that they eliminated to put in a useless bus lane ( not needed because the buses had no traffic in front of them when the used our street ) we fought the city

I go to work by bike 8 months a year (2h every day from pi9 to saint laurent). It s a very nice way to save time not going to the gym after work. And i also know people living like that with the entire familly. Maybe we are idiots for you... And we pay for the road with the municipal taxes. Annyway, i dont expect you to understand. But Montreal Belong to Montrealer. Wana go in the center by car

Bicente  Totally agree with you. The added traffic fiasco does more to hurt the enviroment than the over hyped bicycle paths in this city especially with the non inviting weather in this city. She should have contrated more on charging stations around the city than wasting money on unused bicycle paths and the chaos they create, Trying to emulate European cities and others with better

Annyway, in all major big city cars are over, and the electric car is not a solution. It take to much place in the city. Keep parking place in a city street dont make anny sens. That's utopian... If you want to reduce cars in the city...you better make sure you have just as convenient alternatives. Up to now, there is no convenient alternative, just punishment and very little, at most, incentives. Do not compare europe or paris to Montreal..that is non comparable when you look at the infrastructure there as very many streets can't even handle two way bicycle

That s not utopian, this is the purpose of the subway. Look. The sub is 50m from my condo. I just have to cross the street. If you look on the street on the rear, we have 10 car places, all empty because no one here have a car. When you have a car here you use it 4 times a year. 2 times august for a canotcamping, 2 times in autumns to see the colors. The rest of the time you work and the car is
