THE COMING OF THE MASSES, & HEADLINES
One thing I've been waiting for, and it hasn't happened yet, is the true "coming of the masses" to the stock. I've talked about this before, many months ago, but I think it bears repeating at this point, as this phenomenon may be close.
The "coming of the masses" is a phenomenon where the stock gets a true life of its own. We here are still the "early adopters" of the stock, and most people out there still probably think Bombardier is a company in trouble, building ratty subways etc, or on the verge of bankruptcy with their oversized passenger jets.
The masses can be an EXTREMELY potent force in the market. This phenomenon happens when the masses "finally get the real story", shift their thinking, see the opportunity fully, and start piling into the stock. This of course ramps the stock up strongly, keeping it in the news, and then generating further and wider interest of the masses. In the extreme example, we saw this effect many times over in the meme stocks last year.
For this "coming of the masses" to happen, there has to be several compentents that have to be satisfied.
1) The company has to be brand-name and well known. As for the Bombardier name, everyone knows that name. We're in excellent shape on that front.
2) There has to be perceived potential. Bombarder now has that, (but the masses still don't know it). This is actually good for us, as we enjoy strong gains now, and stronger still when the coming of the masses starts. As the masses perceive and understand that potential too, the buying ensues.
3) Is the story/company understandable? For Bombardier, I think yes. For the masses, I think this will come as a bit of an education to the "new Bombardier", as the pivot has been significant, but the story remains fully understandable.
3) There needs to be good news coverage. Today is the kind of day I think that could in fact generate that kind of news coverage. It's the kind of coverage that finally sparks the interest of the masses, they start to buy in, and the stock starts to remain in the news more and more, as the strong gains get made. This phenomen then cycles on itself, only fueling further buying of an even wider audience of the masses.
Now the question is, are we at that "coming of the masses" point yet? Imho, possibly the answer is now "yes". If so, we are going to see a remarkable updraft to the stock. As always, we'll see what comes, but the elements are now fully there for this phenomenon to happen.
And if it does? We'll make a fortune. Well, we'll make one anyway just on the merits of the stock, but the masses have the potential to make that fortune far larger still.
Enjoy.

Yep, the movement from off-radar to on is the essence of turn-around investing. Understanding the new truth before the masses do. Add this to your list: here in the US, the deepest pool of institutional and retail investment $ in the world, nobody knows who Bombardier is. That will change, and if they get a Nasdaq or NYSE listing, could push the stock interest into hyperdrive.

Flaming what do you mean by giving back ? IMO they have already given back and some. I don't think the Bomber owes anything to anybody !! 1, The bond holders have made money and still are 2. The governments are making money from taxes and jobs. 3.Quebec is making money from the Airbus Jobs made and kept here and Debts have been paid back.

bicente... this is good but it is industry specific. They need to broaden their scope of giving back to truly change the perception.

LOL. You guys are all having fun aren't you? Especially the ones that trade amongst you. Nice to see after all the BS that went on with the SP. We're not even at March 28th yet.

Club, giving back... as in charity. Like Tim's camps, their special Smile cookies where all proceeds are donated. Canadian Tire has Jump Start and McDonald's..

I should note that these are online sources, and I do expect more will follow. Additionally, I expect good coverage from print media tomorrow as well.

Star, Financial institutions collect contributions from small investors for RRSP season. The sums thus raised will have to be reinvested in different financial portfolios. Will some managers who were reading Bombardier be seduced by the precious news that will be ringing in their ears for a while? Will they add BBD. B to their portfollio. ????

With less than 100M shares outstanding, and most are keeping them for now, especially after the R/S, where will they get the shares, won't certainly not print them, what do you think!

Due to the scarcity, those who want to get it will be forced to pay more.
