New factor
Thru General Dynamics' comments this morning, we now know that the banking crisis has a big negative impact on biz jet orders. At least it did for Gulfstream, so very likely the other players, too. FRC is down big again between yesterday and today so far, so need to keep an eye on that development.

Although I didn't look deeply, I have never read how biz jet planes are purchased. Never a discussion here, either. I assume most if not all, are largely financed, as the $ amts are very large, and it's a capital asset that has a long life. So, then, the availability of financing is very important.

There was some reporting this month that supply chain for aircraft builders is becoming a real issue I did not check, but I wonder how other bulders are doing because of this ?

It don't matter what Martel thinks, its how the market takes it as everything now is just a moment in time and reaction is minute to minute.

Of course, that's why I don't understand the hour to hour predictions that inevitable are wrong from so called longs unless of course they are misrepresenting themselves.

Exactly, question to Martel, Does Bombardier has supply issue, answer from Martel no we are controlling the problem, are you sure yes. Question has been asked more then 10 times to Martel same answer.

Thanks for the info and even if the Bomber may be doing better on it , the perception by the market I think would be that it affects everyone irrespective of what Martel said or didn't say at the time.

And the Russell 2000 is regional bank-heavy, and doing poorly recently, and Bomba is a small cap, so that macro linkage probably isn't helping matters with BBD, either. Classic case of: the hip bone's connected to the, thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to....

But maybe tomorrow Bombardier will show strong orders. That should b very helpful to stock action, which has been looking tired recently. I don't expect additional supply problems, just slow, steady improvement. We know that they did deliver more than expected in Q1, after all.

Probably right but that is why I only take things day to day as evrything flips on a dime especially in this kind of enviroment. Analysts and chart readers have never looked more foolish than they have been in the last 2 - years.

A check GD sp and don't know if any relevance, but percentage wise, bbd and gd down near the same % points.

Remember Martel said recently that for now it's in control, not sure of this!

If supply chain is becoming a real issue, Bombardier won't run from that!

All the reasons are good to justify when it drops! The reality is this today!
