Questrade Commercial

Just saw Questrade commercial during football game. Direct investing companies should be liable for making average Joes think they can manage their own money and actually turn a profit. My buddy told me today he took his money out of mutual funds and started trading himself. He said he's lost $135,000 of his retirement money as of this morning. He wishes today he left it with his guy in the mutual funds.

The rich get richer and the poor stay poor. This is one of the main laws of the universe. A fool and his money are soon parted. Another law. You can bet a smart rich person has your buddy's money now.

My brother worked at TD Waterhouse. He said they kept data on direct investing accounts. He said the losses were staggering. In one meeting senior management told them to keep it confidential.

Re: "A fool and his money..." The sad thing about a fool is they are usually the last one to know they're a fool. And if they're a type A personality with a big ego they may never realize it.
