What other Reit grew their balance sheet $19 Billion in 2023

???

Good morning Crazy, To be honest, I really do not care "what other REIT grew their balance sheet $19billion in 2023". My money is buried in BPY and that is what I care about.  You are on here always saying things are "growing" at BPY. And I continuously reply that I believe they are fighting fires and working problems out either internally or through the BSREP funds of ...more

Carena, you should care about what's going on with the compitition, other reits.  BPY is valued in part by the rest of the market.     Brookfield must be adding Profitable Assets/investments, your "green shoots" that you are looking for. I believe what Brookfield is doing will pay off handsomely.     This is the time to Buy Buy Buy.    ...more

Crazy, I have explained in numerous other posts that my competitive proxies are SLG and VNO for BPY.  So I do care, and know, whats going on with the competition.  And you are telling me, "you should care blah blah blah"...lol. You saying, "Brookfield must be adding profitable assets/investments", in my opinion, is not an advisable strategy to allocate one's ...more

I checked out BPY reports long ago...skimmed them.  Yes, I looked again to see what 52, 56 to see what you were refering to.   Already saw it long ago, most of it repeated in previous reports.    But you are correct, I don't do "indepth" research.   reports are 140+ pages of "accounting" and "legal" terminology.    ...more

Crazy - apples and oranges.  This board is meant to discuss BPO preferred shares, not REITs Keep in mind what S&P did in late December 2023 and why they did it: BPO Downgraded to P-4 by S&P S&P Global Ratings has announced: Brookfield Property Partners L.P.’s (BPY) credit quality has been impaired by persistent secular headwinds within its office segment and ...more

Pierre, I think you need to go back and read your green book.    Back to basics.   You said "Over sixty years later I still know how to read financial statements. A company raising money, lots of money, for joint ventures and partnerships, is great BUT such actions do not increase the common shareholders equity or the value of preferred shares of a subsidiary." ...more
