Wall Street?

All the trading on the T is by Anon-y-mouse. TD and anon seem to have a cosy relationship. Like ussr and nk?
Thin trading today because New Jersey has a day off? Boiler rooms too hot?
Because we talk about Prefs they assume all the old farts are in them. NO we are the only ones. LOL.

I can see clearly now... TD waits untill the company buybacks stop and then takes the shares lower by selling to anon. The trick is to buy before they finish. Not easy as we don't see what's happening. Anon sells to the company at a higher price the next day.
Voila.
I hold and take the divi.

Hi Wynner, Firstly, what you have laid out here is funny but also a very interesting observation.   I am sure institutional traders have all kinds of ways to stalk the market (you give the example of the BPO pref NCIB) to line their personal pockets.   Last fall, we on this board saw traders (institutional or otherwise) seriously shorting BPO illiquid stocks with like 14 ...more

The uranium stock ETFs are far worse btw. Even though I believe in nuclear power and the need for domestic supply. The stocks are un-investable for me because of the volatility. Mostly held by the large ETFs. They short the ETFs and you get the Gamestop effect. I choose to play BWXT which is a potential micro reactor maker and has been making small reactors for about 50 years for Subs etc. More ...more
