$3,8 Trillion : It didn't move the needle !!!
"At the end of last year, overall fossil fuels represented 81% of energy consumption. 10 years ago, they were at 82%," says Jeff Currie. "$3.8 trillion of investment in renewables moved fossil fuels from 82% to 81% of the overall energy consumption.

So fossil fuels demand stayed the same and renewables are keeping up to population growth. 10 years from now renewables will gain another % or 2. Simple put, I do not think we have enough energy for the long term....

Yes indeed , we will always have fossil fuels so more should be done to clean them up.

The same could be said for renewables but we wouldn't want to discuss that.
