Baytex Energy Corp > Nuttal's guy is in Houston to review data.

Nuttal's guy is in Houston to review data.

Obviously invited and/or welcomed at Ranger hq to take a look at numbers relating to well frack enhancement efforts in the last couple/few months.

Highly doubt the guy was welcomed down to see negative results.

Nuttal provided a tell when he said with a grin he was getting real time updates from his guy.

Looking forward to seeing the positive results that Nuttal's guy has been made privy to a month before earnings release.

Give me a name! Who is this guy? In Houton they can tell him anything. He wouldn't even need to go down there. He could call. To proper vet and verify ops the "guy" needs to be in the field. Takes weeks. Where did he stay? Money talks, BS walks. Give me his or her name.
Comment by IainCaimbeul on Oct 01, 2023 4:39pm
Kelvy dear, in your case BS talks. You are getting creepier and more unhinged with each post. Shortly I will be taking the Wolf's advice and put you on ignore as your inflated opinion of yourself is only held by you  and cboy69.
Comment by HeavyBanana on Oct 01, 2023 4:39pm
Kelvin, Eric Nuttal's in the room with the Prince. Surely you don't believe Nuttal can't get his technical guy  in the Ranger room to review preliminary data on well frack enhancement efforts since the completion of the Ranger deal as it relates to existing "legacy" wells if you will. .
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 4:52pm
Well the prince is identified I guess.  Who's his guy in Texas then?
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 4:55pm
What's the Prince's name?
Comment by Retiredgeo on Oct 01, 2023 5:03pm
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Energy Minister of Saudi Arabia.
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 5:10pm
Yep, it's him, the energy minister of Saudi Arabia. I verified by photo on the internet.

Maybe you should cut the kid some slack.  He has held his job for many years, he is hobnobbing with the rich and powerful and he is probably far better informed than any of us.  I don't consider him a god but I do consider him A analyst of note. If you don't like Baytex then sell and move on.  I don't understand the unhappiness of these boards when the stock is going up ...more

The staff of ninepoint can be found at https://www.ninepoint.com/about-ninepoint/leadership/ .  No one is going to give you the name of the guy.  That's none of your buisness.  You will hear from his boss in due course.
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 4:59pm
Ok so Ninepoint expects investors to buy bte because "some guy" checked it out???? OK then send me 5 bitcoins to my bitcoin wallet for an investment in Zimbabwe because some guy said it was OK. Smh
Comment by HeavyBanana on Oct 01, 2023 5:25pm
No Kelvin. Eric Nuttal did not say buy Baytex because he has his guy in the room at Ranger hq right now reviewing data on well frack enhancement. He for sure said Baytex is a great buy and investment in general considering the spectacular yield of 39% at the current oil price and the gross mismatch in stock price relative to that fcf reality. Having his guy in the room will allow him to ...more

Welcome to the board HeavyBanana.  I joined last week.  You will discover that the board is full of socialites, name callers, political junkies, shorter trolls etc.  Make generous use of your ignore button and it cleans up real fast.  I appreciate the knowledge that you are bringing.
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 5:46pm
Yup, agree HeavyBanana, data driven. Screw the noise. I want to see if bte has figured out a way to increase recoverable reserves and production rates. What is the name of his guy?
Comment by HeavyBanana on Oct 01, 2023 5:49pm
Kelvin, do you feel his guys name is a data point? Your repeated question about the guys name sounds like noise, no?
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 5:53pm
Yes I have repeated it many times. Noise to you? Important to me. Sorry. I guess I have different investment criteria. I invest in people.
Comment by IainCaimbeul on Oct 01, 2023 6:29pm
Sorry Kelvin but my observation is that your main skill seems to annoying people, not investing. How about you just go about investing and managing your own portfolio - keep that trap of yours closed. Bte has done quite well so far without your "wisdom".

So Nuttal received material info that the public didn't?
Comment by HeavyBanana on Oct 01, 2023 9:24pm
Kelvin, don't become obtuse now. Analysts and institutional types do get enhanced access to certain going ons within a company and it is tightly regulated. They must stay within the rails when when they do get the look. You can go to the TSX handbook to get an understanding of those relationships and how the regulators frame them.
Comment by IainCaimbeul on Oct 01, 2023 9:28pm
Perhaps because he gets to talk to execs and the occasional Prince that you do not have access to - for good reason. As a former Signals Officer with a Top Secret Special Access security clearance  I can assure you that information is distributed on a STRICTLY need to know basis. Sorry Kevy you are just not on the list and highly unlikely that you ever will be.

Kelvin, apparently my original reply to the quoted post of yours was deemed bullying so I'll leave out the reference that was somehow deemed bullying and paste in the balance of my original reply. Best regards as I'm certainly no bully. "I invest based on the assets held within a company and evaluate management's managing of those assets to bring profits back to me through a ...more

Bullying? I didn't find anything bullying about the original. Oh well. I can't figure these SH guys out. Anyway yeah thanks for clarifying the material info question. I couldn't understand how anything in oil patch production operatons can be considered secret or insider because it's all duly recorded and reported as soon as oil hits the batteries and storage tanks. Comment by jleer42 on Oct 01, 2023 6:17pm
He didn't say the name of his guy, but it is probably Keegan Stoyles.
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 6:25pm
Thanks, I'll check him out. You guys gotta look at things through my point of view and of other old timers that got burned by Nortel, Enron, Tyco etc ad nauseum who depended on information and financial statements being credible. To this day I will not go near any company who's financial statements are "certified" by certain accounting firms.
Comment by IainCaimbeul on Oct 01, 2023 6:33pm
Kelvin just gave us his top list of past investments: Nortel, Enron, and Tyco, keep up the good work/advice.
Comment by Kelvin on Oct 01, 2023 6:49pm
Keegan Stoyles: Graduate geologist with honors, University of Calgary, minor in pure math so he knows how to apply the Navier- Stokes equations to petrophysics with piles of hands-on experience in oil&gas. Very impressive!
