And...

In the same article these analysts are predicting a further 21.5% decline except that oil is trading higher in q4 by 20%. Maybe my math is off BUT if the reason that these companies declined because of the oil price trading 20% lower in q3, then if oil is trading 20% higher in q4 should we not be trading higher and not decline a further 21%? am I missing something or is this just part of the Bidenomics math we are experiencing?

Here's the article I referred to. It's claiming that Y/Y the numbers are down and it's causing a sell off. I know Q3 oil was higher than Q2 and that Q4 will be better again. But you typically see Y/Y and Q/Q comparisons. It might not make a lot of sense, but that's what gets reported. So I'm thinking in BTE's case, maybe we get a pop. Usually we know what to expect with baytex earnings woth considerable precision and accuracy over the past decade, but I have to admit, this one has a little more variability in expectation, due to the incorporation of the merged assets and related unknowns. I have an idea of what to expect, but there is a wider band on either side of that prediction than typical quarterly earnings. It's the ...more

Compte tenu de la prsentation  le jeudi soir a la fermeture, les rsultatss ne devrait pas etre si bon, car sinon il  aurait pu les publier mardi ou mercredi matin avant l, ouvertuire...donc

This is not the first time, It's been years that BTE is reporting on Thursday evening. This has nothing with the results.

And those results wont change much in the share price because the market will say again the same  song,   "  from the Q2  BTE did anticiped  yet the Q3 results  look   BTE from $4.87 to $6.00 "  so may be a few pennies ( 6 or 9 )  but we will be back again around $6.00.  Lets see  but   I wont be surprise . I hope ...more

Baytex has one of the lowest cashflow multiples in Mid tier Oil and Gas... Month of cashflow continues to de-risk the company...The result, Baytex is due for a multiple re-rating here soon.  It needs a 25-50% bump in price just to begin to bring it up with much of its peer group GLTA
