CER To HOLD TMX Hearing On 1/12/2024: TODAY Was TMX DEADLINE

- so the CER did NOT RESPECT the TMX DEADLINE NOT to FURTHER DELAY TMX OPENING OPERATING DATE which was TODAY for the REVISION DECISION

- WHO KNOWS WHEN and IF they ACCEPT the PIPELINE DIAMATER CHANGE PROPOSED BY TMX ?

This really is a no-win scenario for the CER. Since this coming on Friday, CER knows they are going upset someone. If the CER approves, the environmentalist will go nuts. If the CER disapproves, transmountain will have no choice but to drill the larger hole. A risk/reward scenario where the potential cost savings will be too alluring. Didn't TMX say this the failure to approve the diameter pipe could mean a delay of months to a year or more in completion? This pipeline is owned by us tax payers so the costs will increase yet again from more than $36 million to into the $40+ million dollar price.

I belive approving the smaller pipe adds no delay, ignoring the time for a decision. Using the larger pipe adds a couple of months delay. Using the larger pipe and things go wrong adds a couple of years.
