Hogwash!!! CPP and OAS are indexed to inflation....I should know I get both every month! On top of that this present government just raised the OAS base rate, for people over 75, by 10%. For reference that is the first time the base rate has been raised in FIFTY YEARS ! (1973) Stop spreading misinformation.... and stop whining.

Thanks to let me know , I'm in mid 50 and I'm retired , I was making 100k in my 20's and invest most in stock market and  housing , now it's just useless for me to keep working I'm just deleveraging my rrsp and keep my tax low and plan to collect my government stuff by 70 years old and get 40% more ... hope to live 100 .... as long I collect my cpp oas just keep

I think one factor is that investors and advisors who just wait for the quarterly reports are disappointed when they compare earlier guidance to the results from Q2.  Capital expendiures in Q2 were way higher than the earlier guidance. BTE explained thiis difference recently, but only when asked.
