Could you please explain how you made $1,000 by selling 10,000 shares at the open and buying them back. Was the original sale a short or from a long position? What exchange did you use for both trades? I am trying to learn about successful short term trading and your post seems to indicate how to do it. Please let us learn from you.

I'm sure CRA love you since washing a stock is usually something CRA looks at really closely.

In a day not so far away, Baytex will no longer be a stock for daytrader. The regular reduction of outstanding shares and long-term operational performance will bring this stock to the level of a blue chip. Daily, they produce over 164,000 boe/d that's 26 Millions liters or the equivalent of fueling 474,000 car gaz tank. That's something to think about !

Production means nothing, what is important is how much FCF they generate out of that production to be able to pay debt, buyback and pay dividends at current oil price.
