Sell heavy oil assets!
Unsurprisingly, Eric reaffirmed that EF accounts for 60% of their production. Why take the risk of potentially holding on to uneconomical assets in a possible $50 environment. If they receive $600-800M, the revolving credit of ~$440M ( variable rate) could be paid off with the remainder deducted towards buyback and special dividend. Stock will pop!
This company is effectively 3 operations: EF, raging river (light Alberta) & heavy oil. All are unrelated and heterogeneous.

Ya I agree with recent q3 there is no need as ceo said if oil going really low they will just suspend or reduce high cost area and resume as oil going up , better to keep all your toys for now and keep the plan going in 2 to 3 years those assets will come handy once the debt is lower .....

Keep in mind these profits can increase as this debt is refinanced at the lower rates coming which looks inevitable. Oil price dropping is a risk and shaving higher cost production is only 1 lever that can be pulled. Energy consumption continues to rise.

Raven, based on your irrational response, you clearly don't have a background in business. My proposal (at the right price), unlocks shareholder value. How could you assume that I'm short when I want to stock to pop! This is a great company but with a heterogenous asset mix.

And what about you and nonsense posts that nobody reads? I'm proposing real solutions to create shareholder value. Management knows this and don't be surprise if this happens in the future.
