When Will We Rebound?

What's it going to take for CHR to rebound?

The last 1/4 was 1/2 decent. The worst of the pandemic is (seems to be) over.

Maybe someone should buy them out on the cheap.

The 52 week low is $2.12. We are almost double that today. I would call that a rebound. Yes we lag the sector but mainly because we are a small player. The next big leg up is a dividend resumption. Some are content to wait for it (me) but the majority only come in when it's announced and are happy to pay a premium to the current price for the certainty.

I figured someone was going to say that. It's valid. I'd like to see a little more progress. It really hasn't changed much since last November.

Last year required balls of steel, but from here on it's just patience. Historically, Chorus has been held for distributions, and far less as a capital gain play. While 9/11 was bad, Covid has been unimaginable... totally decimating global travel, the worst hit to aviation since the Wright Bros. first flight over 119 years ago. Travel will come back, and already is, albeit slowly. With ...more

True. The so called 4th wave isn't helping either, despite their fixed contract with AC, and the improvement in the leasing side of the biz. Let's hope this 4th wave, and renewed restrictions, knock some sense into the anti-mask and anti-vacciners. This last group of 30% of the population is really becoming a pain in the axx for the rest of us. That's all I'm going to say on the ...more

Long-term play here. Higher vaccination rates, reopening of borders, pent up air travel demand and reinstatement of the dividend will make this pop in the coming year. Buying the dips until then. Patience is key!

Bang on. equity research. The pandemic will pass. Everything passes in time. For or against vaccines? No disrespect but I couldnt care less to take an ideological stance. As an investor, I'm just trying to read the tea leaves, and ignore media focus on sh*t news. From what I read, and personal anecdote, travel is bouncing back strong.

It is funny that you post this because from get go and doing some research it appears that most of these things in history run for a couple years and fade, we are in fact at that point in this. Having said that our fearless leader has put us in dire straits and recovery seems incredibly difficult going forward, I cant even imagine how this will effect taxes and inflation going forward. The most ...more

Well that's tough sh1t Tommy because the turdman and his 7 lawyers lost today for the 2nd time, and the liberals don't like them because they dont want to answer questions truthfully. Everything that doesnt fit their agenda is banned but I'm sure you dont see it that way. At any rate they will be there despite turdo not wanting them present.

So in one post you talk about a media outlet who is anti liberal then post another one that is pro liberal and in your eyes one should be banned and the other is fine, do you not realize that different media coverage always goes one way or the other? Have you not learned that from the U.S? Tommy your opinions and haste to discriminate and segregate is very disturbing, you are the one who should be ...more

Even Trump now is telling his clan to get vaxxed. There will always be a group that resists or believe in conspiracy but they will soon will be in the minority it won't matter anymore. The window of opportunity is still open to buy this on the cheap. A year from now we should be at $7+ and climbing with distributions for years to come.

If you have got the jab why care about those who haven't been jaded. This  group of 70% of the population is really becoming a pain in the axx for the rest of us. That's all I'm going to say on the subject. Hopefully nobody freaks. I'll be ignoring anyone who does. Just had to get that off my chest.

You say that's all you'll say but unfortunately that will just be another lie from your keyboard, I'm sure you'll have much more to say in the future. "Removed from society" ??? "No rights at all" is that what you think? Because it's people like you that talk out both sides of your mouth, did you stay at home and visit no one before you were vaxxed last time ...more

So according to Tommy we turn back the clocks and use segregation, prejudice and discrimination again in our society. That's all I'll say about it.
Comment by flamingogold on Sep 07, 2021 8:14pm
Shirtless, all due respect, but seriously what is the alternative? Do we do the same as in 2020 with shutdowns and free money to stay at home? That did not solve covid. The vax is the way out of this pandemic.

Flamingo I can honestly say that I'm not 100% sure that it is the way out. Will it potentially keep elderly safer? Yes I do believe that, the reality that I see in front of us right now is the narrative is "most of the new cases with the new variant are unvaxxed people" so if that's true why are the deaths so low? And it's not exactly a vaccine as all it does is lessen the ...more

I think the best data we have about this new disease are our senior homes. There's a reason why they are not ground zero anymore... vaccines.   I never use to get the flu shot as I live a healthy lifestyle, exercise, eat well, don't smoke and so thought I was protected. Well, then I caught the flu (in my 40's) and it was horrible. If covid is as bad as they say well I want the ...more

Reasonable response flamingo, cheers, I am looking to find a good entry point on this dog of the last 6 months. I am having trouble deciding as this thing pays nothing for a dividend and the 6 month chart is horrible despite all the activity I've seen when I'm traveling north at that airport over the last couple months. I am finally sitting in a great position with the markets and I dont ...more

And I forgot to mention you are 100% correct on the senior homes being our best data, it was about 75% or something of the deaths in this country for the entire first year. Which is why I orginally mentioned seniors. Our government tho put the NHL playoffs in a bubble in canada and left the seniors at risk. Just to expand on that, the highest risk had no support while the lowest risk athletes had ...more

I'll respond, because you're reaction was rather polite. "Why care about those who haven't been jaded". The short answer is, because the unjaded go out in public. Let me elaborate: a. People are still dying from it. Ya, we figured this only happened to 'other' people, but our friend's dad died from the virus, without having any serious underlying health issues ...more
