Short sellers manipulating the stock Thinking of selling? Read this before you make an emotional decision you will regret for the rest of your life. I have been warning you of short sellers’ manipulation. They are always lurking around the corner and exploit low volume days (or timeframes when things are slow to place sell orders of 100 shares and less at lower asks). They are trying to scare ...more

Just stop. Short sellers are not to blame for this decline. This is 100% the fault of management. It is longs selling out because they are fed up of losing money. I've been in only 3 days and already down 12%. Thought I can get a bargain but when a very cheap stock keeps getting cheaper this is not a good sign. If it doesn't bounce tomorrow I am out and will never come back.

Presently its a falling knife. But it will change as there is nothing materially wrong at this point. I have been in a number of Canadian stocks which do this--seems to be a right of passage for these stocks that you have to take it on the chin, then on the head and if you hang in there long enough you can make a double or a 2x. I bought and sold AIM, EFX, BDI over the past 5-6 years enough times ...more

It didn't yet break the 2 year low - it held the $2.66 line and the RSI is almost as low as March 2020 when the world cracked for a bit.

Market saying Cut The div. and it will drop to 2 or under

Nonsense. The dividend is very well covered.

What if cashflow fall 50% or more?
Comment by BlueJay2020 on Sep 15, 2022 6:18pm
And in all seriousness what is the likelihood of that? It would need at least a 2008-style recession, in which case most stocks are sunk.

Blue Jay...undestand something.....The TV stations for the mainstream ones....not all the lousy speicalties all sold out for past 5 years essentially....even in weak summer months they were probably 50% sold....Now that is a function that Tv is only media that can deliver meanful non diluted audience...Why do i know thiis....I have bought over 25 million in Tv inventory ....I buy this for a living ...more

they have been allocating over $100 million plus to debt repayments annually- way over the minimum requirements. Lets say cash flow gets hammered for the next full  year, they have so much headroom by dropping debt payments to minimums. Easily generate a free flow of $75 million or about 1.5 times dividends.

The market's mood is very negative at this point. No wonder why stocks are oversold and declining., regardless of their balance sheets. We are heading for a recession and the market react negatively. It's a matter of time but thing will get worse before they get better. Just be patient and enjoy the juicy dividend until then...Just saying

What is interesting in the Fedex comments today is that the contraction appears to have really accelerated in the second half of August with things falling fast and hard. They are getting hammered as hard as we did over almost a week. so the stocks with August quarter ends will be the first reporting group and so perhaps take the hit quickly.

sergio     enjoy the dividend?????  oh really....today five analyst have corus as a hold....thats 75% of the coverage.....A hold is really a sell....and you expect stock not to go down?   Two trading sessions can wipe out a years dividend....This is a company in trouble
Comment by sergio2go on Sep 20, 2022 10:47am
To ratsnake220. In my book, a hold is a hold ...not a sale. As for that 75% analyst's ratio and their view of the value of the stock, they established the price range between $ 3.25 and $5.00. I didn't pretend for an increase of the share price, at least not in a near future. I just mentioned that until then, we can enjoy a juicy dividend yield. Take also a look at the balance sheet and ...more

mcrambus....you sell on a bounce...you will get one...and then sell....Economic slowdown is a killer....they have to cut the dividend....they have no choice....But i took off the shore because they will get a dead cat bounce...then you get Tax loss selling
