Shaw Communications and Corus Entertainment, the parent company of Global News, are owned by the Shaw family based in Calgary

they do not OWN Corus - they in fact own minimal shares wothin the 200 million issued. But they do control all the votes and do hold executive positions- not that their input can be tied to any positive value accretions to the stock . as i have noted before- free up the voting control and we are $3 the next day.

nope...they sold several years back....may 2019    80mm shares at 6.80 each...
