Picked up a few

Hard to resist at current levels. They can weather another quarter or two of poor financials, and even if they default on some of the debt covenants and have to cut the div, this should recover as we ease our way out of this economic slump. Canada added 1M people last year to the population and should have crested 40m in total last week. Growth should come organically, but pair that with Bell exiting the space and I think Corus will be able to absorb some of that business.

Skipping a quarter of dividend payments (restructuring the payout dates) should help the coming financials and hopefully lets them hit the ground running. But even if they have to suspend the div I would be okay with that so long as they can pay down debt, and ideally use the NCIB to buyback some of the shares.

I can wait a few Q's to help them shore up the balance sheet.

Now, if they can just slow it down with the "woke" programming and rhetoric I'd be much happier. The icing on the cake would be if a certan poster would stop spamming the eff out of the boards and actually let people discuss things. But clearly he has a motive, nobody... And I mean NOBODY. has time to post like that if they werent a paid shill and doing this as their job. Cant tell if hes trying to create an exit point for his cronies, or just plain racketeering.

Got be kidding me. After being short for years calling for imminent bankruptcy now you are by a miracle on the good side :)  Short sellers are hypocrites trying to slice the cake and pick the pieces. They short then cover and accumulate at the bottom to screw people on the way down and on the way up just like Jim Cramer said in his his leaked video. Lol you must be higher than a cats back at a dog show. My first Corus buy was December 9th 2022. Regretfully at a much higher price. So using the term "years" is a hyperbolic stretch considering I havnt even owned it a year. Just because someone doesnt agree with yo or your odd brand of spamming it doesnt mean they're shorting the stock. And also, I challenge you to find a single ...more

Well, looks like Bill C-18 will pass this week so the two US giants who exploit local medi to keep their members in the fold might just have to pay for the intellectual property. Not a bad day notwithstanding the new lows

Interesting that FB buckled in Australia but seem to suggest that this time is different. As the Bell CTV application to crtc says though- they can't wait for this Bill to roll out etc and looking for immediate changes to all the drag fees the crtc impose on the very few remaining cdn media players.
