Gas on the dumpster....
TORONTO, June 7, 2024 /CNW/ - Corus Entertainment Inc. (TSX: CJR.B) ("Corus" or "the Company") is providing an update today that it has been informed by Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. that some of its programming and trademark output arrangements will not be renewed upon their expiry on December 31, 2024. This affects content on certain Corus-operated specialty channels. Corus does not currently expect changes to the programming of the channels until 2025.

That is a really vague press release. No explanation of what the actual impact and financial ramifications might be. Sadly, Corus seens uninvestable other than by those that like playing the lottery.

Well, given about 60 plus % of their debt is non-recourse and behind Big 5 banking loans, this company makes no sense as a private take out. It only makes sense going forward as a bankruptcy to clear out as much of the non-secured debt as possible and then just pay down the secured bankers for all the assets.
