Not typically a lover of CM, but just couldn't resist at this 6+% dividend rate . . . bought in at $56.22.  Wonder what will happen in the afternoon, and the close?

Thanks JWIT2000; it's always nice to open a new file in my portfolio.  Also nice to buy just before the ex-dividend date.  Like you, I'm in it for the long run - and like you (I think), I know that it's hopeless to try and time your purchases to "buy at the low".  Sure, I expect banks to drop further, but who really knows?  No one.  Therefore, like ...more

@Karl63   Great analogy with the beans! couldn't agree with you more on the folly of trying to time the market. I've always taken an entry position when a stock looks cheap and will add in tranches when cash frees up or if a drop without signifacant news occurs. I guess all is good as long as we don't have TOO many cases of beans on the shelves. ;-) best of luck with CM (and ...more
