This week it is supposed to be cold for most of the continental US. It should get back to normal over the weekend and then a bigger blast of cold air will follow next week. They are still calling for a milder than usual Feb and Mar, but that could change. Regardless it is colder this winter than last.

That outlook was issued Dec 19th. Look at the newer 6-10 day and the 8-14 day. Yes after that they are currently calling for for more normal temperatures. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/610day/610temp.new.gif https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/814day/814temp.new.gif

I know I posted the 6-10 day noaa info.  What do you use for Feb. March?

For Feb/March long-range forecasts, the US national weather service updates in the middle of the month. Next update is Jan 16th.  ECMWF is also a place to look, forecasts are for each future week and you can select the date the forecast was done. I don't really spend that much looking at the weather, so I usually just look at the US weather service forecasts. https://charts.ecmwf.int ...more
