DF unit nav to AUg 30 = approx; $15.78 after distributions.

DF showed a gain of over 47 cents since the update aug 15th, and after distributions, the commons would carry a value of $5.78.. and this month passed DFN in value, if none of the inputs have changed.
DFN could have decreased its cash position and the effect would have been more monetary  gains in some of the big movers in the fund.
We will know more when the Monthend update appears.

this doesn't make any sense. in April 2022 the nav was at 15.53 and the stock price was 6.3 approximately. now we are at a nav of 15.78 and the stock price is at 5.26? Shouldn't the stock price be higher?

It's a closed end fund and the selling price is almost unrelated to the nav. It's just supply and demand of the outstanding shares.

Is it better for quadrawest to buy back the shares of LFE and DF DFN at this level?

None of the split funds are getting big premiums, no matter what their history was. In fact some are trading at huge discounts even tho they are  well above the 15$ level for paying to commons ... DF no different.
