20yrs of dividends missed only 4 since 2004, 98% efficiency!

TSX best dividend stock and most consistent is right here within DFN delivering consistent yield of 15%+.  Sure there are other dividends out there that provide comparable yield such as DGS, BK, LBS, CALL.T, HYLD.

But for DFN that have proven history of 20yrs of dividends, missed only 4 since 2004.   That's 98% efficiency!

Well diversified stocks amongst 15 Canadian Dividend Growth Stocks.  Missed only 4 dividends.  Which were: 3 months in Mar-May and October 2020 (which is understanable though they were abe to pay through GFC 2008).   A global pandemic was more uncertainty than 2008 bunch of bankers commiting fraud and govt agreein to $ bailout.

What also is underapprecated about DFN is the 100% Dividend Tax Credit advantages given makeup of fund is all Canadian corporations!  So even if you find other funds or ETFs such as HYLD, you lost the dividiend tax credit makeup, especially if invested outside TFSA..

I have been shorting this as far back as the low $8.00 range. If that's getting it wrong, I will happily be wrong every day of the week. LOL I certainly am not interested in crystallizing my profits and moving on based on a random poster's suggestion. However, I would appreciate your rationale for covering my short.

So you have been shorting this stock.  Then that proves why you keep trashing it.  Hopefully, you lost your shirt on the way UP from $5.75! Because I made a BUNDLE on the way UP! LOL

As I said, I have been shorting as high as the low $8.00 range, so how could I have lost my shirt? My cost base is substantially over current levels. Unlike you, I'm not hoping for you or anyone else to lose money; I'm simply concerned about my own positions. If you are making money on your timely purchase, good for you, but how does revealing that help any of us? It's obvious that ...more
