NAV August 23

$14.47. Ex-dividend, the NAV would be $14.42.

The NAV will need to rise approximately 4% to resume payments. If the bank earnings are viewed favourably, we could get there next month.

NVDA's blowout earnings just released should also help stimulate the FOMO phenomenon and general market sentiment.

This take on the Nvidia phenom, is that is will actually hurt the TSX60 ( which it didnt today) The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday edition that Nasdaq ended more than 1 per cent higher and the S&P 500 also rose on Monday, with shares of Nvidia jumping on investor optimism ahead of its earnings this week. You may be right given that there is not an unlimited supply of money out there to buy everything, so NVDA and its ilk could potentially siphon funds away from other potential investments. It's worth noting, however, that NVDA's previous earnings release reversed a downward trend and ignited massive inflows of funds into the entire market, and even RY was up 10% over the next two months.  ...more
