NAV October 12

~$3.92. Discount on capital shares: ~$0.33. Distance from payment threshold: ~5.14%.

Unexpectedly hot CPI numbers took the markets to the woodshed, but it certainily could have been much worse. Strength in the energy sector didn't help DFN all too much the given lack of significant exposure.

Tomorrow, some large U.S. financials report. The commentary, especially from the highly-regarded Jamie Dimon, will likely have a larger impact than the results themselves. DFN is loaded with the Canadian banks and will be affected.
