Add in a 10% premium and this could go to +$5.60.

Surprised DFN is not getting more love... paying this month and trading at what looks like at or a slight discount to NAV.. what gives?? Usually this is the darling of the split share nation... Maybe this is next in line to make a big 20-30 cent move!

nav rose enough to pay a couple of times,  but others like FFN and LFE are rising faster.  LFE is probably going to be paying for years.

Some others still trading at a discount, and have made bigger moves .. LFE and FFN come to mind..  I have DFN UNIT NAV @ about $15.25 today, LFE at about  $51.47 ... and not sure on FFN..but still over 15$ i would bet. Both LFE and FFN would have a higher yield and are paying. DFN used to pay every month, but not in 2023...and did get a big premium back then. Some hard lessons were had ...more

I was one to learn that lesson the HARD way, the past doesn't mean the future. I have 50+K shares at 7.63 for ~2 years, and at 5.22 currently, if it pays 7 more months, I'll have recouped that loss in SP BUT I'm strongly hoping it has more legs in the LT if/when banks rebound so might be worth holding til then then ....?  But ya a significant enough portion of my portfolio went ...more

Ide add what you can 5 and under, even if it's  few thousand shares. Sell that added portion when the chart nears it's long term trend. 6.5-7.50 range. Overweight under weight, over many years it brings positions nearer to average. But yeah shouldn't add so much at top of trend. Patience.

I just recently employed this tactic. Exited half my position between $5.20-$5.30 and reloaded when it dipped back under $5.

DFN has turned out to be a fantastic investment for me in such a short period of time. Bought a chunk @ $3.11 and collecting $1.20 yearly div. That's almost a 40% dividend yield!  Plus an almost 100% cap gain. Fantastic is putting it mildly. Not planning on selling any either right now.  I'll just hold and collect the monthly div.
