Get ready for rates, and inflation news to take a back seat to the US election campaign. Trump found guity on all 34 charges but he can still run for the job and will be busy throwing out accusations and stirring up more lies and hate. Markets wont like the uncertainty.

If trump has an ounce of integrity and intelligence, he will step aside for the good of his country and party. Ha ha LOL he's stupid and self centered.

The Presidency is an institution and not an individual.  I am really agnostic when it comes to the whole Trump thing.  Yesterday's verdict changes very little to nothing.  The market doesn't seem to care given the current state of affairs as they are.   However I am much more concerned about the state of affairs north of the 49th.

"The market doesn't seem to care" is not entirely true. Maybe not today or next week but markets hate uncertaintly which will most likely grow over the coming months. The fact that a former President was resoundingly charged guilty, faces even more severe charges, can wind up in jail and yet is fully supported by his party to run for election creates an enormous amount of ...more
