Stimulus bill passes in Washington

With 10 days until decision day for distributions, and stimulus package passed, I think it will be above the threshold to pay.

Passage of the Stimulus Bill may become a case of "Buy the Rumour and Sell the News". I fear we may see a significant drop in the markets, delaying DGS from restarting Class A dividend payments. Nonetheless, I've already placed a fairly big bet on DGS and if we see a drop I will add more to that bet.

I have thought the same, but it's impossible to time the market. A general market correction will arrive eventually (Nasdaq is already down 10%). Diversified splits though will likely do better in a correction this time around compared to single sector splits. The latter roared back quickly with the covid reopening play while the diversified ones were tepid. However, diversifieds will handle ...more

What are your thoughts on the impact of the covered call strategy on the preservation of the NAV vs the recent decrease of the underlyings?  In a falling market, the calls could be written closer to the money and generate higher premiums which would at least partially offset the drop in the underlyings.
