There are also no reports of Hudson buying more shares so I'm wondering if something got leaked.

I'm more inclined to think that's it's a time of year where selling/ buying gets distorted. Far more likely than a leak IMO. People who have gains in other stocks sell to reduce capital gains while others are looking for cheap stocks with recovery potential , where the stock goes depends on the balance between the two sides. Stockwatch has volume of 4,371,800 on 5832 trades

You're probably right. But we know Hudson is looking to sell the marine and RV divisions. And we also know that when Hudson sold the Service Finance subsidiary, it resulted in a fat special dividend for all us shareholders. Any leak of an imminent sale could cause a spike in buying from investors hoping for another special dividend.

Wouldn't it be against the rules for Hudson to buy if he knew something material was going to happen?

In the same press release where they announced the strategic investment by Skyline, they stated "ECN continues to review various strategic alternatives related to its RV & Marine business". So this has already been disclosed.
