Cancel the DRIP
Now that they have confirmed the wind up of the REIT, they should cancel the DRIP. The DRIP serves no useful purpose now.

Thank you, so with the Special Dividend we are close to the NAV. Then I guess the stock will stay around this level?

Not quite, The current price of 3.64 includes the special distribution of about 1.13 so there's still a gap to close on the balance of the portfolio.

Many of us are so far underwater, we'll be hard-pressed to break even. I think they would have got better prices for the assets in another year. However, I'll happily take what I get and move on. BBB

The purpose of the DRIP was to allow holders to accumulate more units at a discount without having to spend money on commissions. Regardless of your situation that is a sound purpose and should continue. Yes, NAV/u is reduced slightly but not as much as the savings as a result. Why would anybody not take this deal until the very end?
