Ignoring taxes (and mkt conditions), it should drop by the exact amount of the distribution on the ex date. But I suspect some taxable holders will buy back in after selling, so might not drop quite ...more

Not a dumb question as many factors are involved. Firstly, anybody in a taxable account will likely consider taxes. Secondly, CAR (65% holder) has not indicated what its’ tax situation is for ‘24 ...more

Since the ex dividend date will be December 23...  is it likely the share price will basically drop by the dollar 10 dividend the next day or so?      I know other stocks that ...more

Not quite, The current price of 3.64 includes the special distribution of about 1.13 so there's still a gap to close on the balance of the portfolio.
