debenture conversion

Some debt removed from the books and Murray Edwards , among others , gets some cheap shares for $1.75.
Now owns 4.64% more of the company.

The debenture holders, including Edwards lent the company real cash when the shares were trading in the 50 cent range and most people were predicting the company would go broke completely. They could have bought up all of the companies shares at 50 cents and taken the company private. That would have massively screwed the rest of the shareholders. The only service company I own is ESI. Rest of my oil and gas stocks are longer term holds, less volatile like TRP, PPL, Suncor, Vermillion, Peyto, Freehold etc.
