Frank, here's something off-topic but may be of general interest. We went into ENSO pause expecting La Nina and rain finally in the Andean region. They received very little rain and now headed into the dry season. The below link in Spanish says that Peru also is in dire straits. Gonna run out of water. Frank, check out the US Drought monitor (link below). Also worrying for food producers. They have that huge Ogallala aquifer under the great plain states (the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma etc all major crop producers) but it also is running real low as is the Colorado river system that supplies water to the agrucultural Yuma Valley in Arizoba and Imperial Valley in southern California ...more
