Mispriced assets X2

The chances that banks gain 10% and FFN starts paying exists, but is slim for now. Most see the banks going down in the short term.   The better deal here is FFN.PR.A available for a discount. Buy it for 9.40, and redeem it for 10.  Collect 8% while you wait.  It's true value is $10 unless unit nav falls below 10.  As for FFN,  it should be at a discount while not paying,  so it should trade for $2.50, and I think it will by Halloween.

Agreed.  Have you ever gone through the redemption process?  Is it easy to do through an online broker?

For some reason, investors , (gotta be newbies) are buying and supporting FFN commons. Today alone the holdings have probably lost about 20 cents  asmthe CAD banks /lifecos joining the red brigade, those US holdings going down and USD dive helping the losses accumulate. FFN preferreds will get some life here very soon, i am predicting.
