NAV @ 12:07 pm

~$14.89. Discount on capital shares: ~$0.32. Distance from threshold: ~0.78%.

Weakness in the U.S. financials, perhaps due to some trepidation with the imminent earnings season, is exerting downward pressure on the NAV today. Strength in the Canadian financials is helping to mitigate losses.A strong week could get us to the threshold on Friday and a possible dividend announcement on Monday morning.

Did you level up the CAD % holdings to 39% and the US holdings to 54% with 7% cash? It was a bit of a puzzle but had to make the biggest 2 holdings in FFN at quite a high % to make the equation kind of work out.

The previous update had 54% U.S. - 39% Canadian - 7% Cash. So all that changed in the December update was an increase in the U.S. position by 1% and a decrease in the cash position by 1%. To achieve that, I chose to simply increase all of the U.S. positions my marginal amounts, between 0.1% and 0.3%, giving greater weight to the largest names.
