Not sure if the point of their buying was knowing that it would continue up until retraction date. If there is still a big discount  when that date arrives, then you can tender your shares for retraction at the NAV value.

Thanks mouserman.....I notice that both Stockcharts and my broker's charts show Oct 17 end of day volume of 388,918 and 388,618 respectively.....How do we reconcile the volume above of 628,154 at around 2:30pm - with those other volume metrics?  Is "house positions" different from trading volume?  Do these brokers hold or trade  positions other than what is reported to

Those sites you are referring to only show the TSX numbers, however there are trades going thru the ATS, Alternative Trading Systems... that never show on the TSX numbers. For instance today the TSX numbers were 463 K according to my TD brokerage, but the real story is with the ATS, it is much higher.  Stockwatch shows all trades.
