Thursday night

Will make all the difference for me. What will we see? If we see an increased recreatrional market share; GOLD. If there was a decrease in market share, BAIL. Tweed needs these guys amongst other moves to have a hope at being profitable. There is no way imho that Tweed allows this deal to fall through due to their active SP. RIght now there is 0 reason for a sole Supreme share holder to vote yes. Only those that have money tied in with CGC will want to vote yes. I do not know what those splits are but I do not believe Tweed will allow this deal to fall through. They will increase their offer in the event their SP continues to bottom out. Patience on this one, now imo is not the time to fold. Wait at least until the ER end of this week would be my two cents. The risk at the moment is a lot lower than the potential reward.

Selling FIRE at these prices rr is pure insanity, as the sector weeds out the weak players and the sttrong, those of value like FIRE will move forward. FIRE is a blue chip asset now and always has been it is just too late to build out enough on it's own to maintain that quality of an operation and survive. There is no loss or shame here by any measure, the sector is consolidating and FIRE is ...more

This deal has my vote and I hope Canopy leverages the Supreme team as they continue to 'right size' their business in Canada. Alot of BS being spewed by self appointed 'longs' on this board. GLTA.

It is good to hear South, there needs to be more longs supporting this deal on the board as  some folks have real concerns and need to hear a little more positive, at least some balance for the barking mad drone day in and day out as they try to score shares on the cheap. JMHO...Opt

I would support this deal IF there was a legit reason for me to do so. As of now, if it goes through (highly likely), I will time my departure accordignly. I won't sell just for the sake of pride. I will try to max my return. Personally as far as USA goes the only Canadian company I am interested in is HEXO. I see no reason to stick with CGC. 0. If for some reason I do not sell before end off ...more

Agreed on all points.  I was just as excited to see the turnaround by fire in recent Q’s under new mgmt.  Also knew it would be a good m&a target going forward as industry continues to consolidate. Fire wasn’t the only company raising funds during market rise in Feb as many companies were capitalizing on the moment as they look to expand.  Opt makes a solid point.   The ...more

Supreme was sold out as a scratch my back I scratch yours imo. There is no logic on the Supreme end. They have a 50kg grow capacity which is about 7% of the Canadian rec market. They do not need Tweed to grow nor do they need Tweed for anything. This is a sell out move by people taking care of themselves.
Comment by aurorahigh on May 11, 2021 6:12pm
7% market share is ambitious and the added capacity would still be an added cost.  I can appreciate many people’s discord towards canopy however it would put fire products on more shelves which would of been harder for fire to achieve on its own without the added costs and time. Sides a ~70m run rate doesn’t necessarily equate to a higher sp.  Based on what? Smaller cap stocks don’t ...more

The company was bought for top dollar by the soon to be #1 pot co on the planet because of it's worth rr and while we have to see the details before we know much of anything for sure, I will be very surprised that Beena and the BoD did anything but what was in the best interet of the SHs of which they hold a very healthy chunk. A year from now and a stand alone FIRE would have been driven of ...more
