Government Support

I was thinking about the question posed if we had any concrete examples of government support to the mining industry, direct or otherwise.  There is always the MIP in the terrotories, and flow through financing, but more specific would be:
The development, financing and construction of the Talston Hydroelectric facility, specifically for Pine Point.
The development, finance and construction of Snare, for Yellowknife but in part financed and specifically needed for Giant Mines.
The construction of the town of Discovery Mine, with schools, post office and medical facilities.
Highway #3 and #4 in the NWT was financed and built by Diefenbaker unde the "Roads to Resources" program.
All in the NNWT.
Route 167 by the Quebec Government for the Renard Diamond Mine, and much more I'm sure.

Governments will develop infrastructure when there is a clear net benefit to the public.

Nice ! But it all amounts to hundreds of millions in the big picture ... maybe there is more support that we know coming to the critical metal end of things .... 97 mining projects funded since January  Fundingportal’s AI-driven awards tracking system has identified 97 mining and natural resources projects that have received a combined $364 million in funding since January of 2021 ...more
