Close at $9.24 on April 25

Nothing like having a nice "high close" transaction at the very last second of the day. All day it traded basically from $9.19-$9.20 with the odd trade at $9.21. Total volume about 1/4 million shares, then, last second of the day ... BOOM!

Why do they do this? It doesn't fool anyone and won't make a lick of difference to the trading tomorrow.

I've caused events similar. Waiting all day to get in at a lower price, give in at the end and pay the asking.
