Perhaps you Sorters should return to the pen you broke out off. A few of your fellow cohorts took me to the shed for daring to suggest Quadravest could be more proactive in reducing or increasing the   percentage of US holdings based on market conditions. Since FTN was down less than BK, sold FTN and bought BK. Less volatile, more secure

I sold a chunk of FTN before ex-div but have held on to a much larger chunk too. In hindsight I would have sold more. Preservation of capital is something I haven't perfected quite yet.

I also sold 50 % of my holding before ex dividend and like you I have had a " woulda coulda shoulda" experience since. When you do perfect the preservation of capital let me know for the only certain preservation I know is to not invest your capital at all. Even that is subject to inflation.

So much to unpack with this post. First let me say I am very happy you are still long and that you are "a real FTN supporter"  - didn't know it was a sports team. You are the guy that compains about the team's lineup but remains a die-hard fan.
