Realtime NAV 2% higher

There are times that l do not understand the thinking of some investors..This ETF  with a 19% plus dividend is trading under NAV by 2%. To some , they complain like it should have a10% premium or more, yes that would look good on my portfolio also , but what is it , just a paper profit.Thats unless you intend to dump and go play elsewhere.My opinion for what it is , is l love this discount , it's a rare opportunity to add more new shares through  Dripping and even better adding to ones portfolio by deploying new money in one of the most , if not the most important sectors in the North American economy. I may be older but l will take that scenario every day that it presents itself.If the in and out crowd want to complain , that's their choice.I believe in the  old Smith Barney slogan , We don't just make money , We Earn It.

NobleHouse - yes, I am in the court where I don't like to pay for anything at a price that is higher than something is worth.  In the case of leveraged investments such as split shares, paying a premium just presents an additional downside risk.  For some splits, the math relating to income vs payouts etc make result in a small premium actually being OK but beyond that point you are ...more
