FTN and FFN open weak

Every US holding is down in the red, fairly deep ...at least to start the day. And only TD up 4 pennies in the CAD holdings. WIll see if it lasts all day. US has some decent  retail sales news... altho with inflation pushing prices up, see more money being spent near xmas , should NOT be a  surprise.  Paying  more $$ for  the same stuff you could have bought last year cheaper , is not really a positive sign.
FTN trading at a bout a 10% discount  currently, getting a bit of help from USD gaining on CAD as it dipped below 70 cents.

Not sure if I would buy here as the charts still show downward preasure...... A Move under the 6040 level with the S&P will be the next signal that we are moving lower..... Still to much risk for me. Golferman

People with a lot more resources than we have move the markets.  Maybe with a bit of "insider" information thrown in, they know the "real" NAV of the holdings and how much risk is involved.  Not dissing you in the least, I bought in to early, didn't see this pullback, but I do believe some of it has to do with the distribution cut on the preferreds, along with ...more
