Apples and oranges
Yes American Airlines will make it in all probability. I was just comparing the debt load which caused the Chapter 11 process for American Airlines and caused FUT to go for creditor protection.
By Dec 10th some decision has to be made for Futura. Can debate forever, but won't change things. The only positive I can read into all of this, is the extension granted to Futura to Jan 18th. That means they may have something in mind to turn things around. Likewise American Airlines got an extension also to work things out.
I may be comparing apples with oranges, but both are still fruit. Both therefore as a business arrive at the same stage, albeit under different circumstances. But for some it's a restructuring, for others it's the end. I don't know what David Campbell mean't by restructuring. I will leave that up for interpretation.
