GH Q2 2023

First glance Q2 2023 looks ok.
They appear to be out running inflation.
Top line revenue up 1 million from last quarter
Cost of goods up half million
Debt down a couple million
Outstanding share count down approx. half million from Q1
$0.25 a share earnings, NCIB helping out.

Seems ok, what say the resident bean counters here?

Cheers,
Nukester

From press release: "With Calgary's world-famous Stampede now in the rear-view mirror after setting near record attendance, it's clear that locals and tourists alike are wanting to live it up. Tourism and entertainment are booming after years of Covid-19 suppression. Gamehost casinos and hotels are delivering what the people want. Enjoy the rest of summer!" I keep yapping that ...more

I suspect that with the new NCIB approval that they will continue purchasing and cancelling shares until the share price reaches a point that it's not financially fisable to continue, that would then hasten the dividend increase or it could also lead to larger reductions of outstanding debt, or both. But it sure is looking, as Malx1 has stated, that the share price should be crossing ...more

I will keep an eye on the filings and see if they start buying again. Maybe they wanted to cancel some high percentage debt first. Let's see

TheBridge has been correct about GH this whole time. If NCIB really gets going again, this $9 share cost is a blessing for all of us shareholders. GH could buy 1,000,000 shares at $9, for an asset worth $13-14; that's a $4-5mm value capture. If the stock market is this inefficient, then NCIB work can be used to exploit the inefficiencies. More shares cancelled means a larger stake in the ...more

Recent NR clearly spelled out their capital management priorities and they included debt reduction and NCIB and dividends.... Sounds like status quo for awhile....

Nine months from now, there could be a material change.    Marking the calendar for May 2024.     Maybe sooner.

Malx1, hope you're right and I'll wait longer if that's what it takes.........but I think the material change could come along with the next quarterly report, maybe with a small increase in the dividend.  With the share price currently lagging it makes it appear that it might take longer. The last quarterly report dealt us a pretty good hand as it was very positive and pointed to ...more

You know, Bridge, you're always a few steps ahead of the rest of us stock market punters. You've reminded us of a dividend growth concept where we may see a "gradual" walking-up of the dividend from $0.03 to $0.06. Maybe add $0.01 every two quarters of solid performance until we reach the coveted $0.06/mo. Would guess it all depends on share price.  If we remain ...more
