What part of it? Sure if Gear announced on Tuesday that it removes the dividend entirely (hypethetically) the stock would go into a short period of high volatility, which to me means absolutely nothing. Who knows what kind of investors may be triggered to sell and how many shares. What is more important is what happens after the dust settles. In case with Gear Energy I can't predict what ...more

You really should do some actual DD and compare GXE's EV to their peers. You would then see that the only thing holding the share price up appears to be the dividend.

I have done my DD, I always do before I jump into something. If I was driven by EV mainly I would not beat the market in my years of investments. My biggest appeal to Gear is how smart, flexible and dynamic the management is. Big sell was how such a relatively small company took care of the debt that they had end of 2018.
