Tariffs on oil? LOL
I guess there is a slight possibility that it is possible, Trump is unpredictable and at times crazy. For Canada it would be short term pain but long term gain as it will finally force Canadian energy to find diversiafication of buyers.
However that is the opposite of what US wants. They want cheap WCS and they don't want to lose a barrel of it to Asia. Besides, historically putting tarrifs on anything simply made things more expensive for the end user. This will definitely drive US gas prices and for any leadership higher gas prices are suicidal.

Nice thought, but Canada is stuck with our american "friends" for the foreseeable future. If Trump carries out his threat, as utterly ridiculous as it is, it will hurt every industry in Canada.

You forget what actually happens when the US goes after Canada. It is our producers who would take the hit, as we have no alternative but to continue to ship our oil south, and those sobs know that.

Shareholders at GXE want growth recycling dollars at 4X. Kevin can do this the stock will move fast. We can see how Canada's fake GDP numbers will take the dollar lower adding short cash flow. I think once we have a new PM we can see more stable opportunities..

Give your head a shake, if you think replacing Trudeau with a fool like PP, you are going to be sadly mistaken. I will just sit back and watch the US nosedive and people struggle to survive under the GOP government and prepare myself for the nightmare Canada will be under a CONS government. Either way I will be fine

PP ain't perfect, but Trudope is corrupt and has bankrupted the country. So anyone is better than him.
